Hannah Weirich

Hannah Weirich performs internationally with her long-standing trio “Fridegk,” as well as as a soloist. Since 2005, she has been a violinist with the renowned contemporary music ensemble Musikfabrik. She particularly appreciates the “wonderful balance between community and solo performance” and the opportunity to engage with composers about the details and background of their works. “The many experiences I have gained with contemporary music ultimately also benefit my access to the classical repertoire. And vice versa.”

Juliet Fraser

Soprano Juliet Fraser specialises in the gnarly edges of contemporary classical music. Internationally recognised as a committed interpreter of new music, Juliet regularly appears as a guest soloist with ensembles Musikfabrik, Klangforum Wien, Ensemble Modern and Quatuor Bozzini, as a duo with pianist Mark Knoop or with violinist Hannah Weirich, and alone on stage in works for voice and electronics. She is an active commissioner of new repertoire and has worked particularly closely with composers Laurence Crane, Pascale Criton, Catherine Lamb, Cassandra Miller and Rebecca Saunders. Juliet is artistic director of eavesdropping festival in London and programme director of VOICEBOX, a new initiative for singers specialising in contemporary vocal performance. In 2023 she was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Music by Southampton University.
